Sera’s College Adventures
Chapter I


Sera peered up over her suitcase; a very eager face was worn for this occasion. Today was her first day of college at the University of College. Yes, an odd name, but it deserved the title, for it was the college of colleges, the place that everyone everywhere wanted to go. It was the place that Sera had dreamed of going since she was but a child. Yes, it was a very prestigious school, but the school itself is not the focus of this story, the story is the focus of young Sera, and her adventures going through this school
Now that we have established the setting, let us take a look at our main protagonist. Sera is a very short girl, barely reaching 4’5, which often caused her some annoyance. Mainly due to the fact that most people mistook her for a child and that was a problem that she had encountered all throughout her life. People were always assuming that she was much younger than she actually was; it was so bad that she started to get into raging fits over it. Now, when this happened people often assumed that it was merely a child throwing a temper tantrum. Now, this would obviously infuriate her even more, but let us not get into this endless cycle of events.
Sera’s attire was interesting; it consisted of jeans, and a sweatshirt. Her jeans were relatively new, with minimal tearing done to it. While her shirt had the logo of Fidge, the most popular brand of clothing on the market. Her hair was short, not even reaching her shoulders. In her hair were two braids in it, designed to keep her hair out of her eyes. With her being a brunette, her eyes created quite the contrast when it showed that she had bright, sparkling, green eyes.
Sera as a person is sweet, very sweet. Not only was she kind, but due to the fact that no one ever thought that she was older than eight, her innocence was left intact, for her parents never had the heart to give her “the talk.” Aye, they couldn’t bear to bring her view on the world crashing down upon her. Being as she is, she was about to enter a dorm on the female side of campus.
Dragging her suitcase along, Sera smiled and whistled a happy little tune, for it was a bright and happy day. Her spirits were high, and her smile was bright. She noticed some of the older students getting a little edgy on her, as though they were annoyed by her whistling. So, she ceased the whistling, wishing to not cause trouble, and instead she began humming the same tune. Noticing that others had ceased looking annoyed, she continued the change by humming.
She came upon the dorm building that she was to be staying in, a magnificent building it was, taking akin to the pillars of Ancient Greek, and then combining that with the modern view of western buildings. Stepping in, she reached into her suitcase to find a slip of paper that she had written down her room number on it. Reaching up, she knocked on the door, awaiting her new roommate.
The door opened, and out came a friendly face, the face had a brown tone to it, for it was extremely tan. Her hair was black, and she wore a t-shirt featuring her favorite band on it, the Six Shooters. The girl smiled, she appeared to be in her early twenties to her late teens. She looked down at Sera, “Hello there, are you lost little girl?”
Needless to say, this set Sera off into a rage, “I am not a little girl! I’m nineteen! I’m your roommate!” She said this all in a very large huff of breath, with flames appearing to be in her eyes, her face was extremely red for this outburst of rage from the small girl.
To this, the girl looked a little dumfounded, then she instantly noticed that she was still there, “So, you’re my new roommate, huh?” She said that not to Sera, but to herself. She looked down at the young girl, taking in a good look at her, “Well, alright. Just don’t tell me that you’re a loli that might kill a few things for me.”
Sera looked at her new roommate for a moment, “What’s a “loli?””
Her roommate looked at her, and then she fell back, clearly not expecting this. “Well, alright. At least you’re not a loli. The name’s Wakabeyeshi, but you can call me “Waka,” for short.”
Sera looked at Waka, her new roommate. “Alright, Waka, want to give me the grand tour of where I’m going to be living for the next while?”
Waka smiled, and she said “Sure, I’ll begin with the dorm room. That’ll be easiest since that’s all I know here without getting terribly lost.”
Waka grabbed Sera’s arm, and pulled her into the dorm. Taking her in, she showed her the bathroom, the bedroom, and the living room. The bedroom had two beds; both of them had to sleep together in the same room, for obvious reasons. The bathroom had a simple shower and a bathtub with a sink, and a tile floor. Waka cautioned her that the tiles were slippery when wet. The living room had a single TV, with a VCR and a DVD player, with a single couch.
Sera was obviously pleased that their dorm had this much stuff in it, she had often heard that dorms had a bedroom and a bathroom that were the same room, and that that was it! She was thankful for her luck here.
Waka looked at Sera, “So, what’s your name, oh roomie of mine?”
Sera looked at her, “My name is Sera.”
“Well, Sera, welcome to college.”
